Karlee, a dedicated dog rescuer, received an urgent call from friends about a litter of puppies taking refuge under a woodpile at a construction site on the verge of demolition
Despite the locals’ efforts to rescue the terrified puppies, they remained hidden. Determined to help, Karlee arrived on the scene with food and water to coax them out.
After some patience, the puppies finally ventured out, and Karlee and her team managed to catch each one! However, they knew their work wasn’t done; they would need to return in a few days to search for their mother.
When they found her, she was much more nervous than her pups. However, a member of the community who feeds her came up with the notion of capturing the dog, claiming that if he stole the puppies, the mom would follow.
So the father piled the puppies into his vehicle and began the 10-minute journey to Karlee’s residence. And, guess what? Mama was right there with me the whole time!
They’d have to stop regularly to give her water breaks along the route, but it all worked out in the end.
Finally, it would take approximately a week for the mother to feel secure enough to enter the house. But she was relieved to be able to spend time with her children once she did!
This simply goes to demonstrate a mother’s determination to go the extra mile for her children.
