The blue-banded pitta (Erythropitta arquata), is a species of bird found in the Pittidae family.
Females of this species have an equally striking appearance as the males, although under the wings and tail they have a slightly different color.
The Blue-banded Pitta is found in Indonesia, where it originates from the island of Borneo.
It is also found in Brunei and Malaysia.
It is a shy bird, it likes to live in montane and submontane forests of humid tropical or subtropical lowlands.
