During the course of his illustrious career in the National Basketball Association (NBA), LeBron James has amassed a number of noteworthy achievements.
LeBron James is no stranger to the rich celebrity lifestyle, as evidenced by the fact that he has won three NBA titles and has endorsement deals worth a combined total of $480 million. As a four-time winner of the NBA Most Valuable Player award, he just purchased a private jet, a G280 Gulfstream, which is estimated to be worth roughly $22 million
LeBron James is widely known for his unwavering dedication to his family. He often uses his personal aircraft to spend quality time with them. A prime example of this is when he chartered a G280 to attend his son, LeBron James Jr.’s high school basketball game. LeBron James has even gone as far as prohibiting his children from boarding his private aircraft to instill in them a sense of humility and gratitude towards their privileged position.
In 2010, LeBron James made the most of his private jet by traveling to see his family and going on holidays. The only other time he used it was to attend the wedding of his close friend Carmelo Anthony. When LeBron James was just starting out in the NBA, Adidas extended an offer to charter a private plane so he and his pals could see a Lakers game courtside.
The hope was that James would sign a sponsorship deal with Adidas. LeBron James was offered this bonus in addition to a contract for $100 million, but in the end, he chose to sign with Nike rather than accept the offer from another company. Although Adidas CEO Sonny Vaccaro made a heroic effort to win LeBron James’ endorsement, the superstar was unpersuaded by the offerings that were presented to him.
