1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Al Nassr/Portugal national team): Net worth £471 million

At the age of 39, Cristiano Ronaldo will play in his 6th EURO in his career when he and Portugal face the Czech Republic at 2am on Wednesday (June 19) at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig (Germany). Many believe that this could be the last EURO in CR7’s career and he is determined to win the title for the second time after the first in 2016 in France.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal national team)

In 2020, Ronaldo became the first team sport athlete to surpass $1 billion in career income and just 2 years later, he signed a 2 and a half year contract with the “giants” Saudi Arabia. Al Nassr after leaving MU.

According to Forbes magazine, Ronaldo is currently paid a salary of about 164 million pounds/year by his current club.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner also earns more than £47m from endorsement deals with world-famous brands such as Nike, Unilever and Herbalife. The star also has an impressive property portfolio.

Among the impressive houses owned by Ronaldo and his fiancee Georgina Rodriguez are a house worth £5.5 million in Lisbon (Portugal), an apartment worth £1.5 million and a villa worth £2.5m overlooking the Cavado River.

According to The Sun, Ronaldo is currently the richest player in the world with an income of up to 471 million pounds.

2. Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid/France): 141 million pounds

Since making his debut for the French national team in 2017, Kylian Mbappe has emerged as one of the most exciting players in the world.

With a net worth of £141m, the ‘Ninja Turtle’ is the second richest player at this year’s tournament, behind only his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kylian Mbappe (France national team)

At the age of 25, Mbappe has won a number of major titles, including the 2018 World Cup. In 2022, he scored a hat-trick (scored 3 goals) in the dramatic final at Lusail Stadium (Qatar), but unfortunately France lost to Argentina in a fateful penalty shootout and had to watch Lionel Messi and his teammates win the World Cup.

After just leaving PSG to move to Real Madrid, Mbappe’s salary was up to 21 million pounds/year, equivalent to 404,000 pounds/week.

However, that salary is a significant drop from the previous two-year contract the young French star signed to extend his contract at PSG, earning him a staggering £5.1m/week.

Notably, Mbappe’s current salary at Real Madrid (2.1 million pounds/year) is only about 1/8 of Ronaldo’s current salary at Al Nasr (164 million pounds/year).

Mbappe has also signed lucrative deals with a host of big brands including Hublot, Louis Vuitton, Oakley and Hennessey. According to Forbes, endorsement deals alone have brought in £15.7m for the Paris-born striker.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Mbappe had purchased a large £15 million villa in Spain after completing his move to Real Madrid.

3. Harry Kane (Bayern Munich/England): 72 million pounds

Striker Harry Kane, England’s all-time leading goalscorer (63 goals in 91 games), has seen his net worth soar from £24m to £72m in just one year.

That number will continue to increase. In the summer of 2023, Kane left Tottenham Hotspur and signed a lucrative contract to move to Bayern Munich with a salary of 21.5 million pounds/year.

His £100m move is believed to come with a £30m signing-on fee.

Kane’s killer goalscoring skills have also earned him an advertising deal with Amazon and a partnership with Sketchers said to be worth £2m.

The striker has also invested in property, with a portfolio worth £13m. However, it is believed that Harry Kane lives in a £1m-a-year rented mansion with his wife Katie Kane and their three children.

4. Antoine Griezman (Atletico Madrid/France National Team): 71 million pounds

Besides Mbappe, the French team also has many other stars in attack at EURO 2024, including Antoine Griezman. The 33-year-old Atletico Madrid striker has a net worth of £71 million.

Griezmann’s top basic salary of £21m makes him one of the ten highest-paid footballers in recent years.

Off the field, “The Little Prince” also earned more than 4.7 million pounds from advertising contracts with brands such as Puma, Gillette, Head and Shoulders.

Fans have been able to admire Griezmann’s elegant modern home and the property is said to cost more than £5 million.

5. Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona/Poland national team): 67 million pounds

Robert Lewandowski’s impressive skills on the field helped him be awarded the title “Best Player” in 2020 by FIFA and UEFA.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, the Polish superstar’s salary in 2020 was £23.5 million, making him one of the highest paid football players in the world.

The Barcelona star is often named one of the best strikers of all time and has many sponsorship deals to his name.

In 2016, it was reported that he spent £7 million on a luxury apartment in Warsaw, Poland, his hometown.

6. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City/Belgium national team): 56 million pounds

Attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has been one of Belgium’s most reliable “aces” for many years. The Manchester City player’s illustrious career has earned him a net worth of £56 million.

Considered one of the greatest players of his generation at both club and national level, the 33-year-old’s base salary is £15.7 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

De Bruyne’s huge popularity has impressed brands, with him partnering with Nike, McDonald’s and Emirates. The “blond” midfielder owns property in Cheshire (England) and a villa in his native Belgium, equipped with a jacuzzi, swimming pool and basketball court.

7. Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea, Belgium national team): 50 million pounds

According to The Sun, Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is said to have a net worth of £50 million.

With an impressive resume that includes spells with Manchester United, Inter Milan and Chelsea, it’s no surprise that ‘Big Rom’ is one of the most sought-after players in the world.

In 2021, his return to Chelsea saw Lukaku become the world’s 7th most expensive player in a club record transfer worth £97.5 million. After one season, he was loaned to AS Roma and was forced to reduce his salary. According to Football Transfers, he currently earns an annual salary of £6.3 million.

8. Luka Modric – £58.9m

Croatia captain Luka Modric has just won the La Liga and Champions League double with Real Madrid this season. The 38-year-old veteran is considered one of the greatest players in the world and has amassed a fortune of £58.9 million.

Although Modric’s annual salary with Real Madrid has not been made public, it is estimated to be around £7.8 million.

Last year, it was reported that Lukita had spent £10.1 million on a new home in Madrid, which boasts a large living room, nine bedrooms, a swimming pool and a gym, where he lives with his wife, Vanja, and their three children.

9. Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich, Germany): 45 million pounds

German “icon” Thomas Muller, 34 years old, has earned about 45 million pounds throughout his career.

Few can match his trophy haul, which includes Bundesliga, Champions League and World Cup titles.

Muller is said to earn £18m a year and £345,000 a week. This makes the striker nicknamed “The Space Thief” one of the highest paid players at Bayern Munich, where he has been since 2008.

Muller currently lives in Munich (Germany) in a villa with his wife, Lisa, which was “visited” by thieves while he was playing football in 2022.

10. Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid/England): 40 million pounds

Real Madrid’s English midfielder Jude Bellingham has a net worth of £40 million, thanks in part to his £103 million deal when he moved from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid last summer.

This equates to Bellingham’s annual salary of £11.6m and weekly salary of £200,000.

The 20-year-old has collaborated with Louis Vuitton and Lucozade. More recently, Bellingham became the face of Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS.

Adidas also designed the logo in Bellinham’s image. That partnership is said to have earned him £2.6 million.

Bellingham became the youngest first-team player in Birmingham City’s history when he was 16 years old and has continued to break records ever since. This “Morning Star” also became the youngest English scorer in the Champions League in 2021.
